White Lies

You pack your bags, you lock the doors,
Walk down thirteen floors
You take the bus you take it slow
Breathe in before you let it all go
You're headed to Madison
They need you in Madison
The air is hot, the air is still
But a job's a job, even the rumor mill
And a man is telling you, no need to get mad son,
No need to get mad son, no need to get mad son
You fool yourself, think when in Rome
You aren't ready to go home
So you run their rumors, you're running rumors
You go mad in Madison, so you leave Madison behind
And bring back little snow white lies
You survive by serving little white lies
Over whiskey and wine
And never, not once, do you falter
You serve us little snow white lies
Too much whiskey and wine makes it harder
To read between the lines
And as we close our eyes, drink in the lies
And give over
And give over
And give over
We give over
Snow white they go down so smooth
One step, two steps back
Walking round town like you never left
One step, two steps back
Walking round town like you never left

Fort Lee, Virginia

Walking down to Fort Lee, Virginia
On the Fourth of July
They're playing Guns n Roses as
Smoke fills the sky
And looking over the fence
They go marching by
Hot night in Fort Lee, Virginia
Where they learn to fight
Bittersweet Virginia
You were always bittersweet
So goddamn bittersweet
You were always bittersweet
And it's not for me, and it's not for you
No it's not for me, and it's not for you
Inside Fort Lee, Virginia
On the Fourth of July
They set the sky on fire
Over top of the rise
And this is all for you as long as
You don't change your mind
But sure as the grass grows green
They'll send you to fight
Bitter Virginia
Why d'you gotta be bitter now
So goddamn bitter
And you can't make a sound
And it's not for you, can you hear me
Cause you'll change your mind
In a year or two
As you open your eyes
You'll change your mind
Sweet, oh sweet Virginia
Sweet, oh sweet Virginia
And she belongs to me and she belongs to you
She belongs to me, and she belongs to you

The Eiders Oakland, California
The Eiders are an indie folk-rock band founded and fronted by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, Rosa del Duca. Originally,
the group was formed as a back-up band for del Duca's solo album, but as the pieces came together, we formed, and continue to refine, our own sound.
Currently we're gigging and writing material in preparation for a full-length release, tentatively scheduled for late 2012.
